This month, NxGen published our first white paper -- “The
Optimum Data Center: How Modular Data Centers Transcend Containers” – which
addresses the persistent misunderstanding in the industry of the differences
between containerized and modular data centers.
Some readers might get a kick out of the paper’s brief
overview of aesthetics.
While one never buys a data center based solely on its looks, I am always surprised at the high value many customers place on aesthetics. Unlike containers, a modular solution can be designed to look very much like a traditional data center. The exterior can be painted or have siding applied. Likewise, white space can be defined and comfortable service access is built in.
In other words, it walks the walk when it comes to
enterprise-class readiness. And to us, it’s a thing of beauty both inside and
out.
I welcome comments on the white paper – the first of many
planned for 2012 – which can be downloaded at: http://nxgenmodular.com/resources/
